NEW Singapore Travel Guide book from Lost Guides.
*UPDATE: you can now order the book here.
Here’s a sneak peek at the new Lost Guides – Singapore book, which will be launched via a crowdfunding campaign in mid Jan 2017!
Lost Guides – Singapore: a Unique, Stylish and Offbeat travel guide to Singapore.
The book highlights over 120 of the most special spots in Singapore, presented through 10 curated neighbourhood guides of the city. From speakeasy bars, boutique hotels, local design studios, to fabulous food and authentic Asian art. More than just a travel guide, the book features in-depth interviews with local creatives making their mark in their respective industries, as well as beautiful pieces of literature from some of Singapore’s most promising writers.
Who is the book for?
Lost Guides – Singapore has been created for today’s traveller – the stylish nomad with an interest in experience rather than expense and an eye for quality, design and authenticity. It is for those that don’t require over-the-top luxury, nor have the budget of a backpacker – but are in search of those special places in-between.
- A5, full colour 182 page soft cover book
- Original photography
- Hand-drawn maps of the neighbourhoods and illustrations
- Offset-printed and perfect bound
I’m super excited to share with you the final front cover of the book, taken by the talented Singaporean photographer Hosanna Swee.
Printed Book and E-Book
Similar to Lost Guides – Bali, the book will be available as both a printed book and E-Book version which can be read on your iPad, or even smartphone.
Lost Guides – Singapore includes a bumper 10 neighbourhood guides for the city. I’ve chosen the most special spots for you to explore, with the idea being that you can wander around the neighbourhoods visiting each place recommended in the book.
An exciting new addition this book is a section of interviews with local creatives making their mark in Singapore. I spoke to the amazing Priscilla Shunmugam, founder of Asian inspired fashion label Ong Shunmugam, and will be publishing an in-depth conversation with the designer. (There are three more talented creatives that I spoke to, which I’ll reveal in the next update!).
Another addition to this book is the new literature section, where the work of local writers and poets are featured, giving the reader a deeper sense of the city.
Right now I’m putting together a selection of awesome prizes and rewards that will be available exclusively to the crowdfunding community…
